🌳 EONA’s Mahogany Planting Initiative – A Tribute to Growth and Legacy

On August 26, 2025, the eve of Vinayaka Chathurthi and the grand opening of the Okkur Nagarathar Multipurpose Hall, the Okkur Pangaligal gathered in unity and celebration. In a gesture that beautifully wove together tradition and sustainability, EONA organized a Mahogany Tree Planting Ceremony.

Mahogany trees—renowned for their strength, longevity, and grace—were chosen as living symbols of the Nagarathar community’s enduring values: resilience, growth, and collective spirit. This initiative not only honored the sacredness of the occasion but also sowed seeds for a greener, more thoughtful future.

As roots take hold and branches reach skyward, these trees will stand as a testament to the harmony between cultural heritage and environmental stewardship. A legacy planted today, for generations to cherish tomorrow.
